My name is Karolina and I’m the creative force behind impressus.
My fascination with letterpress printing began in 2013 while planning my wedding. The beauty and elegance of letterpress was so captivating that all I started thinking about was learning how to print myself.
I took a letterpress workshop in March 2014 and few months later I acquired my press, a stunning Golding Pearl Improved No.11. The Golding presses were manufactured in Boston in the early 1900s and I’m still amazed that I get to use one of those presses in my studio today.
Letterpress printing is a time-consuming process that requires patience, dedication and precision, and every time I’m at the press I learn something new.
